Some of our past years female cria are shown below (these
3 girls shown directly below are sold and in
their new homes).
More CRIA (means "beautiful baby" in Spanish)
are due in the spring of 2007, and all will be
available for purchase at weaning (at 6 months)!

All of our alpacas (including our favorite
females) are priced and available
for sale to the RIGHT HOME, where they will be
cared for, safe and appreciated for years to
come.
Prices
for Females: Because we plan to maintain a
very small breeding herd of less than 10 adult alpacas, we offer
almost all of our cria for sale each year as
healthy weanlings. Any female cria offered for
sale is $4,500 at weaning. The price for our
weaned female crias in the spring after their
first shearing is $5,000, and in the fall their
price as a yearling jumps substantially, based on
their fiber, conformation, personality, &
pedigree. We feel that these prices are extremely
fair, and an excellent opportunity for people to
buy good quality females! Our bred and open
females of breeding age are offered for sale;
they are priced individually. Please see below
for pictures and details of available breeding age
females.
Prices
for Males: Fiber quality males are priced at
$700 each. Because we do not
personally show our alpacas, all of our males are
considered fiber quality. They are gorgeous,
but they are unproven, and because of that, we
choose to not assume that they should be kept as herdsires.
If you spot a young male at our farm that you
absolutely must have as a junior herdsire or as
a show animal, we will certainly register him
and sell him to you at fair price for a junior
herdsire. See below for pictures and
details of the males that we have available now!
People that truly know me
know that I offer my best animals to good homes.
Uber's Tangerine Kiss is one of my best females, and
one of my favorites. If sold, I would want
her to go to a farm that would give her lots of
TLC, as she is a very sweet and loving female,
in addition to being a fantastic mother!

On the left is a picture of Uber's Tangerine Kiss
approximately 1 hour after her 2004 cria
"Lucky Penny" was born. Kiss has that
just-sheared, just-birthed look, but it shows
just how quickly her cria are up and running!
Tangerine Kiss is probably my FAVORITE female
here! Lucky Penny is pictured again at the
top right of this page, with milk still on her
lips! I have yet to retain one of
Tangerine Kiss' crias, as they are always in
demand. Tangerine Kiss is a sweet-natured,
people-friendly female, and an incredible
mother! The only time you will see her
gander up is if anything appears to be a threat
to her cria - then she becomes "SuperMom" and
will stop at nothing to protect her baby.
In the middle is another of Tangerine Kiss' cria
named "Pale Moon", just before shearing.
Pale Moon resides at Top Of The Hill Alpacas in
Idaho.
On the right is Tangerine Kiss with her first
cria born here, a male named "Julyamch", who was
sired by Mr. Brazil.
Tangerine Kiss was bred to our herdsire Rajah (see
Rajah listed on my herdsires page) on 5/24/06
for an April or early May cria. She is
priced as bred at $14,000.
Pregnancy confirmation and live cria guarantee
are included in purchase price. After
April 1, 2007, Tangerine Kiss will be removed
from our sales list due to her advanced
pregnancy.

Uber's Paula
is a black female that has produced 5 female
cria in a row! She was rested this past
year, and will be bred to Rajah in early April
2007, and available once bred. Paula is a
*fantastic* mother, and always produces
beautiful cria. Paula, while being one of
my older females, is also one of the most
playful! When Paula was bred to Spirit of
Hemmingway (a Hemmingway son) twice, she
produced beautiful female crias, who have in
turn produced outstanding quality. Paula's
last cria "Leaning Tree Speedi G" now resides in
California. She was born on a very cold
October morning, and she was up, nursing and
literally running FULL-TILT (hence her name!)
within just a few minutes. I'm very fond
of Paula, and she continues to impress me with
her mothering instinct.

sell at $7,500 after her pregnancy is
confrimed. This includes a live birth
guarantee.

Longo's
Potato Cake is a nice herd female that has
produced one of our best alpacas here (see
Immigrant's Angel in the next section - Angel is
Potato Cake's daughter). Her daughter
Angel has beautiful fiber, and a perfect bite.
Potato Cake herself is a female that needs to be
bred up to improve those 2 things; her fiber &
her bite. Her bite is a little bit off;
this is another thing that I think is important
to note, instead of just dremelling-off her
teeth to hide it from prospective buyers.
Potato Cake's crias bites have all been RIGHT
ON, but hers is not. For any perspective
buyer to see, I'm including a picture of Potato
Cake with her teeth untrimmed (something we do
to her about every 2 years to keep them filed
down). Her teeth will be trimmed again in
April (it has been 2 years).
What Potato
Cake lacks in fiber quality, she makes up for in
mothering ability. She milks heavily and
her crias grow like weeds! Potato Cake is
bred to Rajah, and is due starting on July 4th,
2007! She is priced as bred at $7,000,
which includes live birth guarantee.

Immigrant's
Angel is a friendly, beautiful white female.
She has been bred to Paradise Ridge Camlet (an
award-winning male) at Top Of The Hill Alpacas
in Idaho, and will remain there until her
pregnancy has been confirmed twice. I'm
really excited to see what that breeding will
produce! Angel has 1 strike against
her, in that she lost her cria this past summer.
I do not fault her with that, because I was away
at a show when she had her cria, and it was
triple-digit heat here in the desert, which is
hard on Moms and new crias alike. Because
I was away at a show, I only have to guess that
it did not get enough colostrum during the first
24 hours (possibly due to the 100+ temps that
week). But because I believe in FULL
disclosure about any faults or concerns I have
with any animal I sell, that is something that
must be noted, and it also has negative affect
on her sales price. Because I am so fond
of Angel, and the fact that she has the best
fiber on our farm, I would typically have priced
her (bred) at $14,000. But her price
reflects the fact that her cria did not survive
this past year. It should be noted that
her prior-year's cria is a beautiful, healthy
black male who lives at Top Of The Hill Alpacas,
and she was a great Mom to him! He has
beautiful fiber, like his dam, and her
sweet-natured attitude as well!

Immigrant's
Angel was bred to Paradise Ridge Camlet on
October 11, 2006, so her cria is due beginning

Angel is priced at $10,000 as bred with a
confirmed pregnancy and a live birth guarantee.
Low price due to loss of her 2006 cria.

Meet
"Leaning Tree Hewlitt-Packard" aka "HP":
Call HP and he will come running!
HP is a super sweet-natured young male,
sired by an outside breeding of our female Night
Song. HP was born on 5/4/06, so he is
still under a year old. He is extremely
people friendly (but not pushy), and he will
make an excellent pet by continuing to give him
lots of TLC and some training. He will not
be sold to any farm where he will be without the
company of at least 1 other alpaca. HP has
nice fiber and a wonderful disposition. He
is ready to be halter trained, and worked with
from the ground up. HP's price as an
unregisterd, ungelded pet/fiber male is $700.

Such a cute face!
HP kept following me too close for a picture!

Getting
Prepared For Alpacas: Because we only want to
sell to farms where we know our animals will be
safe and happy, we will have some questions for
you, too! This is especially important for people
just getting into raising any type of animal. We
want our animals to have companionship, good
fences (to keep them in and predators out!),
3-sided shelters, shade during the summer, good
nutrition and regular management such as shearing,
de-worming, & quality feed. We cannot
sell to single-alpaca homes, as their well-being
and happiness is very important to us!
Farm
Visits: We welcome farm visits from anyone who
is interested in alpacas; you do not need to be
ready to buy alpacas to visit our farm! Every
farm visitor should leave with a wealth of new
information, and hopefully excitement about
someday having alpacas in their life!
Support:
We will provide you with 24/7 support on any
questions or problems you may have pertaining to
your alpacas, short of giving advice that requires
the skills and knowledge of a veterinarian. This
is one area where our farm really stands out; we
are small in size, but we are always there to
help.
